Those of you who haven’t heard of Glossybox, it’s a box you receive each month (a subscription) that contains random beauty products. There are different kinds of boxes, brands and products that you can receive with this perdy creation and being a stay at home mum, I’ll take any beauty products that I can get my hands on. I’m pretty sure that each month you get at least one make up product with it too! I’ve just opened my Glossybox set and thought I’d give an idea of what you can get.
1. De Bruyere After Sun Lotion
Now considering this box costs ten pounds per month, I’m pretty impressed because this product is worth the same amount of money as the subscription fees! Now I haven’t had sunburn recently so I can’t really tell you how good it is for healing the skin or relieving the burns but it does make your skin really soft and it smells incredible! It’s made from Tiaré flower and coconut oil so it really does smell amazing. It’s also non greasy which is a bonus and I can’t stand moisturisers that cling to your skin for too long. I’m impressed and would definitely buy it again!
2. Spa to You – Konjac Sponge
I can’t say I’ve used this yet but I’m really looking forward to it because after doing some research I’ve heard nothing but incredible things! This Sponge alone is worth £6.99 so I feel like I’ve hit a fab deal in this box. It’s made from 100 percent pure, natural and organic Konjac dietary fibre which brings back the softness and pureness of your skin. I’ve read many reviews which highly recommend it for exfoliating too and apparently it’s silky soft! I’m sure I’m going to love it as it’s supposed to be an easier way to exfoliate your skin and I’m a girl who loves an easy option. Apparently you have to replace it every 8 to 10 weeks but at such a cheap price you can’t go wrong!
3. Ladival Sun Protection Spray
Last month I had my first episode of pompholyx eczema and it was agonising. My Glossybox arrived at the peak time of soreness so when I saw this I thought I’d give it a go – I found out later that this sun protection spray is actually made for sensitive skin and eczema so this is something to hang on to! It’s amazingly £19.99 so for spending just a tenner for this whole box I was really impressed. It’s basically just a spray that is free from perfumes, colourants, preservatives and emulsifiers so it’s perfect for sensitive skin and is non sticky. I’d definitely buy it again if I ever have another flare up!
4. Aussie Hair Care – 3 Minute Miracle Reconstructor Deep Conditioner
I buy Aussie shampoos and conditioners most of the time. As I haven’t had natural hair in years my hair has been prone to damage but since I discovered this conditioner I’ve been sold. It mends my split ends wonderfully and it’s the number one conditioner that makes my hair look it’s healthiest. It also smells gorgeous! The small sachets are about one pound and the bottles are about £3.60. I highly recommend!
5. Starskin – A Smoothing Bio-cellulose Eye Mask
I’m yet to use these but I have a feeling that if they do their job then I’ll definitely be purchasing more. Apparently they do exactly what it says on the tin: reduces puffiness and dark circles under the eyes. As someone who has on average 4 hours of sleep per night, I’m hoping for the best! These are £8.50 so a little bit expensive to be consistently buying them but I can’t wait to try them out and hopefully see my face looking fresh for the first time in yonks.
6. Emite Lip & Cheek Tint
I tried this today and I should have taken a picture! You apply it on your cheeks with your fingertips. Just pop three little spots of it on your cheeks and then blend! It looks so natural, soft and doesn’t look patchy what so ever. Although on the lips it does take a while to dry and the applicator could be a little better but once dry I felt like snow White, it made me look rosey and natural. This Tint is £12.50 so I’d probably buy this for my cheeks but not overly fussed about the lips. Still, very pretty!
So, I really do recommend this subscription box for just £10 a month. It doesn’t really break the bank and you do receive some expensive products that are at least worth trying out!
